Usage of the Raw plug-in

The Raw plug-in uses DCRAW library.

  1. Copy the plug-in for the Raw format to the same folder as cPicture.
  2. Select a folder with your Raw pictures in the folder view.
  3. Right click on the picture to display the settings dialog:



    Click on "Format settings":

  1. Change settings:

    The picture will be reloaded with the new settings if you click OK.

    Set brightness:
    Specify the output brightness. Default is 1.0.

    Color balance:
    The Color balance can be changed with the four values. Click on "Set" to get the values from the current picture


    The sigma settings are used for the bilateral filter to smooth noise while preserving edges.

    Sigma domain:
    Sigma domain is in units of pixels.
    Use a value of 2.0 to start with.

    Sigma range:
    Sigma range is in units of CIELab colorspace.
    Use a value of 4.0 to start with.


    Interpolate RGBG as four colors
    Interpolate RGB as four colors. The default is to assume that all green pixels are the same.
    If even-row green pixels are more sensitive to ultraviolet light than odd-row green pixels, this
    difference causes a mesh pattern in the output:


    Solves this problem with minimal loss of detail

    Document mode (no color, no interpolation)
    Show the raw data as a grayscale image with no interpolation.
    Good for photographing black-and-white documents.

    Use automatic color balance
    Automatic color balance. The default is to use a fixed color balance based on a white card
    photographed in sunlight.

    Use camera white balance setting if possible
    Use the camera's custom white-balance settings. If this can't be found the default is used.

    Use secondary pixels (Fuji Super CCD SR):
    Use this setting for the models from Fuji with the Super CCD sensor.
     

  1. To convert select "Convert picture format" from the start menu:

  1. Select the target format and click "Convert".
